Alex was dissapointed in the ride selection too.
When the 8 year old kid, riding the horse, jumped off and yelled, "I have to go poo poo! I have to go poo poo!" Shook his pant leg a bit to let it all fall on the ground.
We left.

I found a website that I want to start frequenting.
It's called Carrie and Danielle and on it they ask a daily question.
You can answer the question right there on the website but I think I'm going to scrounge up a fancy journal (shouldn't be hard considering I buy every cute journal I find and stash it in case an important task like this pops up).

I was thinking of answering the questions here on my blog but in case you haven't noticed I'm a rather shallow blogger. I don't want all of my intimate thoughts splattered across the Internet. Not yet anyway.

I used to journal all of the time and now I only do a nightly gratitude journal... oh, and the kids blog.
Hopefully this will get me back on track.

Samwise, The Boy and I were playing a game of go fish and "someone" let 'er rip.

About half a minute later our ears were blasted off our heads and the alarm was flashing GAS, GAS, GAS.

I've always told him he was stinkier than I was. Mine just don't smell... at least not enough to set off alarms!

The Boy and I brought some friends to Cabelas to see the stuffed wild animal displays. We weren't expecting this!?? Seriously. Get a room... and possibly a babysitter. The people dismanteling this display should have paid more attention to where they laid the nekked maniquins.

Guess what we had in our house! A squirrel!

We had propped the door open to get a cross breeze while Samwise was building some new shelves in the garage. Sam ran to Home Depot quick... leaving the door unattended.
The poor guy was trying so hard to escape out the back patio door but it was closed. I put on some long pants and socks (in case he tried to climb up me) and finally chased him back out the garage door.
Poor guy. The Boy didn't even really care that we had our visitor. He just went back to his room to play.

Sorry for the fuzzy pics. I was panicking.

I went to my friend Erinn's house on Sunday night for a craft MNO (Mom's Night Out).

Erinn and Jackie taught us all how to cut glass and make a take home project. First you score the glass. I made random shapes.
Then you just kinda snip/bend the glass and it snaps in half. Super easy... although I was a bit intimidated at first. Wondering why you don't wear safety goggles for this. ; )
And our finished projects. I don't want to tell you which one is mine because I'm giving it as a gift for Christmas.

The Flea Market

It's a one stop shop! I went to the Annandale Flea Market this weekend to help my Dad out. He sells coins and usually the holiday weekends are busy so I went along to help.

You can get and do anything at a flea market! Eat "fair food", buy farmer's market produce, purchase your new pet, garage sale, dollar store type shop and get in the best people watching ever!

This is soooo the kind of grandma I see a certain cat-lady friend of mine becoming!! Mwah!

I was thinking that I should try and set this guy up with the lady above. What an awesome couple they'd make!

Earlier this week I Twittered about needing to change my eating habits. A friend asked why I would think this.

Answer. I have a sugar addiction. A big one. Like, I do lines of Pixie Stix to get me through the day kind of addiction.*I eat sugar all day and I love my ~~chemically altered~~ simple carbs. As hard as I try I just don't have the will power to give it all up. I actually had a dentist appointment about 2 months ago and with my clean, sugar free teeth, I decided to not eat anymore sugar. That lasted 5 days whole days.

Actually looking back I'm pretty proud of myself, considering that on the way to a friends on Thursday night I ate a Kit Kat bar I found in Joe's car. Did it matter that the chocolate was completely melted and that I had to sit in the parking lot of Michael's craft store licking the wrapper. Hell no! I sooo need to change my eating habits!

*No I didn't eat all of those Pixie Stix. Actually that isn't even my garbage can. Just found a pic on the net. The thought of eating all of that sugar and the raw feeling my tounge would have makes even me a little sick.

Really? This is the second pair of underwear I've seen randomly laying around this summer.

I know underwear doesn't just fall off.

I've had it crawl up.... but off???

First you have to remove your shoes, unbutton your pants, take off the pants and then you get to the underwear.

It doesn't just make it's way down your pant leg while you're walking to Starbucks. And then oops all the sudden there is a breeze.

It's not like you lost the $5 from the back pocket of your jeans.

When I take The Boy to the park near our house I'm thankful that he can't read all of the colorful words on the equipment. A lot of times an older kid will take it upon themselves to read what it says in the tunnels and slides to him.

Actually it isn't even a pet peeve. It just pisses me off!

Why in the world do some smokers think it's alright to throw their cigarette butts out into the road!

Seriously, if the cigarette is too dirty for your car ashtray then it's too damn dirty for the sidewalk!

Would you throw your pop can out the window? How about a dirty diaper? Litter is litter and the sides of the road look horrible.

My Dad always honks and shames the people he sees doing it and now Joe and I have starting doing it too.

I suppose someday it will get me in a road rage fight but for now they don't even notice me throwing a fit in the other lane.

I've been thinking about a few things lately. First, my life pretty much revolves around my son. Second, I have a lot of my own thoughts to share. Third, I have all of this "free time" throughout the day.
So the conclusion I made from those observations, I want my own random thoughts blog.

This is it.

I had a really hard time with the title and I'm still not sold on this one but I'm stuck with it now. I had Dammer-rungritter (my name in German), I had Oxymoron (my name, sadly), Putting My Foot In My Mouth and for a bit I considered Off My Chest!! No no no. Imagine the readers I would have gotten with that name!

Be forewarned... I use a lot of ... when I write. I'm not all that sure when you're supposed to use a , or a . so I just make up my own sentence structure. Also, I tend to act like everyone knows what I'm talking about. I start talking mid thought and nothing I say makes sense to bystanders. And if I forget to use spell check you'll have no idea what I'm talkin' about.
